Oliver Babish was on the job for three months when it was revealed that the President had MS.
On his desk he has a gavel given to his father's father by Justice Brandeis [1] in which he used to destroy a malfunctioning tape recorder. The tape recorder was stuck in the record position.
He replaced Lionel Tribbey, however, this was not disclosed until the episode Bad Moon Rising.
