Larry Claypool was a lawyer with the government watchdog group Freedom Watch. He is portrayed as a partisan hack who spends his time filing lawsuits against President Bartlet and his staff in hopes of bringing down the administration. Most significantly, he was a key figure in exposing Leo's past as a drug addict.
