The Joint Chiefs of Staff is the council of service chiefs of the Armed Forces of the United States. The Joint Chiefs of Staff comprise the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Chief of Staff of the Army, Chief of Naval Operations, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and The Chief of the National Guard Bureau. The Chairman acts as the Chief Military Advisor to the President of the United States.
