[edit] Tributes

  • leo :(
  • Leo and John, one word..."class"
  • I agree with the class and great character John Spencer brought to the WW. He and POTUS were perfect together.
  • John, I will mourn you for a very long time, but everytime I think about how you're gone, I just remember all your wonderful work. You were one of the greatest actors ever and I hope you know that you've touched the hearts and souls of countless people. Although we never met, I feel a very strong connection to you and I hope wherever you are, you are in peace.
  • A fine actor, and a great charector, as Bradley Whiteford said "a dear dear brother". I shall miss him on screen. Rest in peace Leo, and may your legacy live on.
  • One of a kind.
  • A fine actor, but an even greater White House Chief of Staff.
  • To echo one of the aforementioned posts, John's portrayal of Leo touched the hearts, souls and even the imagination of countless others, including myself.

His gruff, but always loveable personality, his wit and presence; all of which, combined to create the show's "rock" - the one character who seemed to be the lynchpin for all others. When I heard the news of John's death, it felt as though I had, in fact, lost someone very dear to me. Although we never met, I did mourn his passing. I am glad that the producers and writers, chose to reflect John's passing, in the story, with dignity and decorum. Every time I watch the episodes "Election Night Part 2" and "Requiem", I shed quite a few tears. John, I and many more around the world, miss you now and always. God bless.
