Jane Braun was Arnold Vinick's second campaign manager, replacing Sheila Brooks.

Braun was a member of the Republican Party who was allied with its more conservative members. After the fallout of the San Andreo incident the Republican National Committee wished to use her for the Vinick/Sullivan Moving America Forward campaign. While it was initially thought that she would replace Bruno Gianelli, Sheila Brooks offered herself up as a scapegoat (due to her visibility) and told Arnold Vinick to have Braun serve as her replacement. (The Cold)

Initially Braun found the campaign staff to be hostile to her presence due to her conservative sensibilities. When Vinick decided to return to California she nearly quit; however, the senator promised to listen to her strategy after the California trip in order to keep her to stay. (Two Weeks Out)
