Franklin Pierce
From West Wing Wiki
Franklin Pierce was President of the United States during the mid 19th century, prior to Reconstruction.
He was a member of the famous political Pierce family.[1]
As President, he gained some notoriety when he annexed the country of Cuba.[2]
The Pierce Bedroom in the White House was named for him.[3]
[edit] Notes
His first name "Franklin" was never mentioned on the series and is taken from real life. Like Josiah Bartlet, Pierce came from New Hampshire and was a US Representative from that state.
