Danny is also the correspondant who is the most steadfastly supportive of the Bartlet administration, and he appears to have a good friendship with President Josiah Bartlet, Leo McGarry, Charlie Young and Josh Lyman as well.

Danny won the Pulitzer Prize for journalism and, like the President, is a graduate of University of Notre Dame.

He has a long-standing on-again/off-again romance with White House Press Secretary turned White House Chief of Staff C.J. Cregg.

Sometime in the future, after President Bartlet has left the White House, Danny and C.J. Cregg rekindle their romantic relationship, move to Santa Monica, California, and have a baby.
