Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson was President of the United States during the late 1860s.
President Johnson's favorite fireplace was in the Mural Room of the White House and he used to sip whiskey from a charcoal keg by that fireplace while reading.[1]
In 1869, President Johnson rescinded Special Field Order Number 15 giving 40 acre plots in South Carolina to newly freed slaves.[2]
